Integer Review & Small Group Instruction
We have completed modeling of integer addition and subtraction and it is now time for practice.
While you are working on the assigned work,, I will be working with individuals and small groups that need extra help or have specific questions. This is a good time to work on your independent learner skills.
Week 1 Check point (January 29th) - Finish up to and including Mid Unit review (page 65)
Week 2 Check Point (Feb 8th) - Finish up to and including Practice Test (page 81)

Students have been working on parts of two different Grade 7 Math Outcomes over the last few weeks -
  • Statistics and Probability
  • Numbers
      • Determine and apply divisibility rules for 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10 (Divisibility Rules and Factoring)
      • Explain why a number cannot be divided by 0

Problem of the Week

Students are to complete one (1) Problem of the Week each week. I am available for extra help most days at noon if you have any questions. Remember of use our Problem Solving Method when you work on these problems
  1. Read the problem through carefully
  2. Think about what you have read and ask yourself "do I understand what I have read and what I am being asked to do"
  3. Write down what you know - draw pictures if you want
  4. Solve the problem - Show all your work
  5. Check - Think "After re reading the problem does my answer seem reasonable
